Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tidy Story mobile application and related marketing website (together, the “Service”), provided by Tidy Story (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for adults (18+) who are parents, guardians, or caregivers of children. By creating a family, you confirm you are an adult and that you have the authority to set up the Service on behalf of any children who use it. Children should only use Kid Mode with your permission and supervision.
2. Your account and data
Tidy Story does not require an account or login. All of your family data is stored on your device. You are responsible for the device, the parent PIN, and any data stored in the app. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device damage, loss, reset, or uninstallation. We recommend using the in-app export feature (available within 30 days of launch) for personal backups.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial family use.
4. In-app purchases
Tidy Story offers a one-time in-app purchase, Tidy Story Premium, for $4.99 USD (price may vary by region and currency). The purchase unlocks the features listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and are subject to their respective terms. Restore Purchases is supported on any device signed in with the same app store account.
Because Tidy Story Premium is a one-time unlock tied to your app store account, refund requests should be submitted directly to Apple or Google per their standard refund policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Use the Service to harass, exploit, or harm children or any other person
- Circumvent any licensing, payment, or security mechanism
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
6. Intellectual property
All content in the Service — including names, logos, designs, illustrations, icons, sounds, and animations — is owned by Tidy Story or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce or distribute these assets without permission, except as incidentally displayed by using the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be retained indefinitely.
Tidy Story is a tool to help you manage household chores. It is not a childcare service, is not a substitute for parental supervision, and does not provide professional, financial, or educational advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; if we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially violate these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
